Living the Dream(liner)
Bestie got me a fascinating book for Christmas all about Royal Enfield motorbikes from the post ww2 era up until 1982 - that is, their golden age as a British company, into leaner years as imports from Japan began to become the bikes of choice, to the early days of Indian manufactured 'Enfields' being imported back into the UK.
@Oilyrag would approve, there is a whole chapter on the Bullet model of which Biscuit is a dependant of (& styled after the G2 model of the early '50s)
One which really took my eye was a 350 built as a project bike by Motorcycle magazine with a fully enclosed fairing. This appealed to my sensibilities not for it's 11% improvement in top speed, but for the 25 - 35% reduction in fuel economy because the less visits to the fuel station the better ;-D
