Dalmatian pelican
Birthday outing to the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust in Arundel. There have been a few changes since we were last there including the arrival of a pair of female Dalmatian pelicans. Apparently we used to have them in the UK a few hundred years ago and there are plans to reintroduce them into the wild. How cool would that be! Meanwhile, these two, who were hatched at Rotterdam Zoo, will be joined in the Spring by a couple of males from Berlin Zoo, who are currently quarantining. Let’s hope they hit it off.
