Frosty
We slept in this morning and it was much needed rest. It was cold and frosty outside so we were happy to stay inside. I almost waited too long to capture these frost crusted leaves before the sun melted it. I organized the opened gifts and collected the empty boxes around the tree from Christmas Eve. The kids did a great job cleaning up so we could get to Mass but I wanted to tidy the last bit. After breakfast, hubby and I opened our gifts from our German friends and each other. He was happy with his new desk chair and emergency radio. I joined the 21st century with ear buds. Have no idea how to use them yet. I called our mother. She had a nice Christmas Day, visiting our nephew and his family. My family missed her being with us but I am thrilled she wasn’t alone. It is important that she hang out with everyone. My sister and BIL stopped by to drop off a few items. They had been at Kristen’s trying to help with a water leak in one of the upstairs bathrooms. Hubby and I have meds ready for pick up. He will head to the pharmacy and then buy as few staple groceries that we need. Jamie and Renee were taking her Mom back to the airport. Renee is expecting a package that must be signed for. I am at their home waiting for it. The delivery is an hour late from the promised time range but my day was completely free and I enjoy being with the grand pets. As usual, our crew is spending their day helping each other and it feels good. Wishing you help when you need it. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “It was like traveling through a stage setting, the air clear and tingling, the moonlight sparkling off bushes laced with frost.” - Robert Specht
