Canterbury

I really like Canterbury and it was a beautiful day on Tuesday - it was absolutely heaving! I saw a few people in graduation robes which probably explains why I struggled to find a hotel room.

I managed to convince the hotel to let me leave my satanic hire car in their car park whilst I went to my appointments - ah the joys of being on foot. I had to get back in the bloody thing eventually though and had a fairly uneventful trip to Tunbridge Wells. It cut out on me again another three times on my way back to Gatwick though, once as I was crossing a roundabout, so I returned it with nail marks in the steering wheel and gave it a kick on my way out of the car hire drop off point. It was a blessed relief to get on a train instead!
