Some light holiday reading.

Summer days are usually good enough to allow much outdoors activity but our winter cold and wet weather lets me catch up with my reading. As an avid history buff, these are right up my street. At school, I was irritated by the concept that history stopped with Queen Victoria. It seemed that anything after 1901 was not history!
It actually was dry enough today for our usual walks plus some outdoor work. As the next couple of weeks are supposed to be rather wet, I took the “opporchancity “ to switch off and take down the outdoor lights. The garden looks a bit bland now, until the spring bulbs start to show.
