Stubborn Fog
The swimming pool re-opened this morning after the Christmas break so I sauntered up first thing to get some exercise. Using the head torch where there was no path lighting I could see a constant swirl of water droplets in front of me. The fog/mist has not lifted for two days now.
On getting home I drove up to the Chase for some opportunities to photograph the woods in fog. It makes so much more sense of the scenes when you have the recession the fog provides. The main shot is a panoramic stitch, using Lightroom's merge tool. It does such a good job of this and there was hardly any need to crop. A couple of others include a beech tree and smaller brethren still holding on resolutely to their leaves and also a buzzard who was not at all keen to change perches and allowed me to get quite close, despite not having a long lens with me.
It looks like I've completed another year here on Blipfoto and I'm chuffed to see my Bliptwins are also celebrating today. It's a pleasure to still be here and although I probably make less effort on some days, that's just to keep the sequence going. Certainly the journal has become more of a record of my days, rather than just pretty pictures and I know that in the last year I have probably used my phone's camera as much as nay other device to capture my daily shot.
Thank you to everyone that continues to visit my journal and leaves comments, stars and on those rare occasions it merits it, a heart or two. As always I regret I don't reciprocate on your journals as I feel I should. I console myself with the thought that I give back to Blipfoto in other ways, which support the continuing operation of the site.
All the best for the coming year.
