Lights
Thanks for all the stars, hearts and messages for my 4000th blip yesterday, all very much appreciated. As ever I am miles behind, but I will catch up!!
I started my day with a run. It was a nice morning for it, another six miles done. BB was playing rugby in Edinburgh, and I thought we were taking him, until one of his friends turned up to give him a lift. That gave me more time to pack my bag, and to pop down town for a few things.
TT and I then drove into Edinburgh to watch the game. When we were about half way there I realised I hadn’t put my coat in the car. There was no time to head back. We parked up, I pulled a sweatshirt out of my bag, and put it on as an extra layer, and we wandered over to the pitches to watch. I knew I couldn’t watch the whole game as The wind was too cold, so I watched a wee bit, then went for a walk along the Water of Leith to Stockbridge, then came back via Dean Cemetery and the Galleries of Modern Art. I got back to rugby just as the game was ending. BB’s team lost by one point which was disappointing.
BB and team were going out on a festive pub crawl, so we left them to it. TT and I were off to Newcastle to visit his sister, of course we had to stop in at home for my coat first.
We had a smooth run down the A1, reached our destination, got changed, and quickly drank a glass of fizz before we all headed off to a restaurant to meet up with TT’s nephew and niece. We had a lovely evening, even though we had to ask for the music to be turned down a couple of times, as it was so loud!
After dinner, the young people then did their own things, and we headed back home for a nightcap. It’s been a busy day.
The lights in the restaurant were very colourful. BB played in the shadow of Murrayfield today (extra, he’s number 11). The other two extras are are at The Dean Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art.
