Waiting patiently

Jill and Frida waited patiently at the top of Mt Iron for me. I liked seeing them in silhouette against the bright sky. Even though we started our walk at 7.30am, the track was very busy. I don’t think I’ll go up again over the next 2 weeks when Wānaka is so busy.

Friends from Canada visited this morning for coffee and Christmas cake- it was lovely to catch up with them. Then mutual friends arrived for more coffee and cake. 
After lunch another  friend from Dunedin arrived for tea and Christmas cake ….so I’m pleased I made that cake to share!
