Boxing Day
Re-run of Christmas Day but without our daughter and family (they were at her in laws). Phoebe on good form again today, decided to get into her cupboard; watching Wallace & Gromit she held tightly to my hand; she watched Tidler MANY times ….
We all ate too much again, no room for tea and to give them time left around 7:30pm. Lili had slept her usual amount today, ate her meals ok and no issues. However, got home, lifted her out of the car and into the house she was walking like a drunk dog (no alcohol had touched her mouth). Her head kept tilting to one side and she was, understandably a bit anxious. Called the emergency vet’s and visited (about 30 mins away). She was still a little wobbly on arrival, but soon recovered (s#ds law). They checked her over, she is quite arthritic in her back legs, but her heart, lungs, temperature were ok. Bloods taken, no concerns apart from a raised urea and another one indicating she was a little dehydrated. Given some pain relief, which should make her feel better and to follow up with the vet.
[At 16, Lili’s insurance has just come up for renewal - nearly double the price! Had called them on Christmas Eve to cancel the renewal on 29/12/24, so we will see if they pay out - they should do.]
