Today my human was one of the 'mad fools' that took part in the 'Boxing Day Dip'. (See extras). For my morning walk I had to go and check out the beach/sea conditions to make sure that it would be OK for Ann to go swimming.

All was calm. TBH, if one really needs to swim in the sea at the end of December, the swimming conditions couldn't have been more perfect. Think the air temp was about 10/11C (don't know what the water temp was), but at 8am everything looked hunky dory.

I would have liked to have gone with Ann (and her friend said she would look after me) but she was worried that I would get distressed if I couldn't see where she was. And Ann knew that there would be hundreds of people there.

Ann was right, there were loads of people there (see extras). It was like the whole world had turned up on 'Porthminster Beach' to either swim or watch the swimmers.

At 12pm they all ran into the sea...................... By 12.10pm most of them had run out again. Lol! Not so Ann. She did a bit of 'proper swimming'. And then according to her very techie friend, was back at base camp by 12.17pm, so she thinks she must have been in the sea for about 15mins.

Ann says it was fab. It was the first time that she's done the 'Boxing Day Dip'.
