My favourite view

To complete 1 year on Blipfoto I decided I should take a photo of my favourite local hill. This is the Shelf Stones section of Bleaklow in the UK Peak District. It's not far from home but today I drove to the top of the Snake Pass and walked a short section of the Pennine Way north and then a similar distance along the section called Old Woman ( yes really ) towards the Doctors gate path to Old Glossop.

I had to wait for some sunshine on the Cotton Grass in the foreground and feel it was worth the wait for this one.

I'm pleased with the result and its good enough to celebrate the day. I do think that I am taking a higher percentage of better photographs than a year ago and I am sure that is in part due to Blipfoto. Having to take a photo everyday is quite a challenge and I'm glad I stuck at it to complete the year.
