Happy Christmas cake
We are very well-practised now at everyone just getting on with whatever they are cooking for Christmas dinner. We agree an 'eat-time', do a plan of what will fit into the oven where, then it all happens.
Come Christmas-cake time in the evening there was a little more to organise. I made the cake a while back (it wasn't that blurry when I made it but it's been drinking brandy since then), Secondborn made the marzipan slightly more recently and here is Firstborn organising getting the two together, about half an hour before we cut into it. It's a good thing none of us likes white icing or our timings would have been very seriously out.
