Merry Christmas!!

To bed late, and ô quelle surprise, up early. Way too early, actually – and Ottawacker Jr. was sent scampering back to bed at 7:30, to reappear 10 minutes later. So, no rest for the wicked. Emailed and called Stephie to see if she was available for the day at any time, still waiting to see.
 
Nice breakfast of bacon pancakes. Made a Smarties pancake for Ottawacker Jr., which he claimed to like. Then I collapsed for a nap in the armchair, while Mrs. Ottawacker went for a constitutional to Mooney’s Bay. She is clinically insane; mind you, I’m the one who made the Smarties pancake.
 
Relaxing afternoon: skyping with friends out in Victoria; few calls to family; making Gratin dauphinois, and then at 5 Mrs. Ottawacker’s niece came over. Had ham and leftover turkey with the gratin, then sat and chatted and I sat in a chair dozing while Ottawacker Jr., Mrs. Ottawacker, and Stephie played a board game. A very pleasant and relaxing Christmas.
