White Christmas rose

We were sorry to say goodbye to the Foxes this morning when they headed south to spend a few days with Clarissa's parents. That said, we are looking forward to seeing them again very soon in Manchester.

After our guests' departure we focused on putting the house straight after yesterday's celebrations. The washing machine and tumble dryer have been working at full pelt most of the day. We have also made a vat of turkey stock, and caught up on various admin tasks. When I was topping up our compost bin in the garden, I spotted this hellebore in bloom.

We've hardly watched television over the past couple of days so it's now time to catch up. We did Wallace and Gromit before bubble and squeak for supper this evening. I get the feeling that Mr hazelh will campaign for Dr Who next...
