Thursday: Boxing Day
Another mild day, clear blue sky this morning which turned cloudy after lunch. MrD went off to the mountains on his motorbike and saw lots of large trees which had fallen down during a recent storm.
I spent much of the day reading and I have finished “A Calamity of Souls” by David Baldacci, started on 11th December - a courtroom drama with so many twists and turns but a fascinating plot and insight into southern Virginia racism in the late 1960s, strongly recommended :-)
Also pottered in the garden and greenhouse, and refilling bird feeders for our dozens of goldfinch, sparrows, bluetits, wrens, blackbirds, starlings and the solitary greenfinch …
Today’s Blip of the seagulls flying inland this morning from their roosting down on the beach to their grazing locations near wetlands inland and another photo of some of the ships which have been moored in our bay whilst the ports come back to life after their Christmas break - at least the weather is calmer following the frantic winds during recent storms.
Started reading the book which was yesterday’s Blip - then watched Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl
