Christmas day was going swimmingly, everyone arrived and we were ready to eat when Frank cut his hand on the turkey knife. He's fine but we spent the next 6 hours in A and E and he needs to return for surgery to clean the wound.

Every cloud, however , has a silver lining....Tara was working all day and we weren't going to see her. But she was on shift in the hospital we attended so she came to see us after her shift. She is clutching a curry someone had cooked for her and offered to share it. It was strangely festive and special.
