Day 15: stars on the water*

Boxing Day has been cancelled.  After we left D&V’s house last night, they and their friends decided to go to a bar down the road from where they live.  It hosted their wedding in 2022.

They met up with even more friends and the long and short is that they finally staggered home at 4.30am.  They phone us late morning, remorseful, a bit the worse for wear and unable to face cold pigs in blankets.  Do we mind postponing until tomorrow?

“Of course not” says Anniemay struggling to keep a straight face.  The pigs will wait.

So we have a lazy day by the pool, Anniemay outdoing herself with a personal best. While we drank our poolside coffee she did a Health and Safety assessment of one of the hotel electricians.

In the evening we wandered back to the pool for dinner.  Which was nice.
