Runny honey and lemons

This morning I felt I should get more sore throat remedies for J who's not been at all well, but he doesn't like dosing himself up, so the compromise request was for runny honey and lemons.  My walk back home firstly gave me my favourite silly door wreath of this Christmas (in extras), then in the park, a pair of ducks.  I've been noticing for ten days or so how they are starting to pair up, which seems ridiculously early though I don't imagine they're thinking of building nests and such quite yet.  I also saw another small sign of spring on my walk - in sheltered spots tight hazel catkins are beginning to loosen and extend.
