An ordinary life....

By Damnonii

We wish you a Merry Christmas...

Today has been lovely :-)

Christine arrived at 9.00am.  When I got downstairs brunch of toasted pancakes / bagels with bacon and maple syrup was being dished by D.  We enjoyed that and by the time we finished Alan was awake.

We all went through to wish him Merry Christmas and check the stocking on the end of his bed to see if he'd been on the naughty or nice list this year.  Turns out it was the nice list :-)

D and I tidied the kitchen while Christine got Alan organised then it was time for pressie opening.  Last year Alan wanted us all to be together to open our gifts, this year he wanted Christine all to himself.  Fair enough.

We all must have been on the nice list this year as Santa was very good to us all.

D took Lola a walk while I finished off the food prep and got the cooking started.  I aimed to have us eating at 6pm and was pretty chuffed when I called Christine through at 6.10pm.  Only 10 minutes later than planned :-)

Prawn and smoked salmon cocktail, herb crusted rack of lamb with Dauphinoise potatoes, clementine roasted carrots, honey roasted parsnips, and pigs in blankets.  None of us was fit for dessert but coffee and a Christmas spiced cookie rounded it all of perfectly :-)

D took Lola for a walk round the block and I put my feet up and conked out for an hour.  Alan was full of the joys having had a lovely day, loves his pressies and is looking forward to swimming tomorrow with Penny and Vickie :-)

And that's it for another year.  Only 364 sleeps!  ;-)

Hope you've all had a great day full of love xx
