My first gluten free cake
Baking the Christmas cake was much less stressful than I’d anticipated. The wonderful aromas gave me confidence. When we took the cake out of its tin it felt a miracle that it wasn’t burnt and looked like a proper cake.
Today it will have marzipan added and then Woodpeckers will ice it and add her delightful characters to ‘decorate’ the Christmas scene. I’m looking forward to tasting it too, but I’m sad that Woodpeckers won’t enjoy the cake she has baked for me. I hope this tastes good enough.
