Squash and fennel

Went for a Christmas day run this morning.  Same route as Sunday but much quieter. We stopped by Christmas lights for some photos in town.  
Bucks fizz with the boys mid-morning. They were still full from last night's pizza so they passed on croissants.  We had to have a sandwich later to mop up the alcohol. 
Our gifts for each other went down well I think.  I have a painting morning in February to look forward to.  
Pottered around in the afternoon and then cooked some of the vegetables for our big meal that we'll have tomorrow. We are trying something new.  
Watched the Steelers game with a pile of sandwiches. Now using my new light up crochet hook to make some more diamond motifs. 
A peaceful, non-stressful day.
