Henry's Christmas Present

Henry's good behavior has paid off and he received the gift he was hoping for, a new walking stick that compliments his posh new clothes.  Last year he just had a simple rough stick for hiking on Harris, but he felt that that was not suitable for Lord Henry MacMouse, First Earl of Cheeseboro.  I suggested that perhaps it was a bit over the top with its gold tip and silver finial, but he reminded me that we are visiting several castles next year like Balmoral, the late queen's favorite and Glamis where the Queen Mother was born.  So true.  Louisa May got some lovely presents too (extra) and, of course, so did the birds and squirrels.  I hope Santa was good to you as well.  Henry, Louisa May and I wish you Merry Christmas!
