Guess who we met in the village.....!
Sorry - been missing for a couple of weeks. With trying to get things done, events to attend and still having pain from the knee I decided something had to give. Hopefully I will try to get going again now. A short walk planned for Christmas Eve - I got communications a bit muddled so I joined the BPWs at the end of my road at the end of their walk. I could hear car horns and laughter further down the village, and in the photos you can see the reason why. This intrepid group seem to be making their appearance a village tradition, and they collect for different local causes on their way round. people were stopping their cats to donate. Santa Claus is the daughter of one of our BPWs so we stopped for a chat. We then made our way down to B&P's for mulled cider, bacon sandwiches, coffee, and K's lovely mince pies. I took some Cheesy Christmas tree biscuits which I made last night from a recipe my mother used to make cheese straws. I made quite a lot, but it was hit and miss as I made some a bit too thick and they didn't crisp up like the others, but I think I have it sussed now ready to make some more for a buffet at my daughter's on Boxing Day.
