The Christmas bus
So today I did the very last Christmas shop - but still forgot the crisps! The Stagecoach buses that operate in Winchester always have one bus tinselled for Christmas, on which they collect money for the local Hospice. For the first time ever, I actually caught it into town. When we got to the bus station the driver gave me this shot.
The street market was very much operational but higher up the High Street a large young people's brass band was playing around the City's Christmas tree. You couldn't get passed it for the crowds it attracted. Luckily I didn't need to.
So, a very Christmassed-up Winchester, which a lot of people hugely enjoyed - though in fact, despite all the jollity I got home with rather a sense of relief - and appreciated my quiet afternoon.
We no longer have two young children in the house and four adults. But from tonight we have three adults and five dogs, two of them ridgebacks.
C'est la vie..
Enjoy your Christmas Eve night - and have a fabulous day tomorrow xx
