Double surprise!

The forecast sunny intervals never arrived ...... undaunted we set off for a wander anyway.

Instead of the promised sunshine we ended up with a light shower of rain! Thankfully it didn't last long.

It was quite a surprise to see this Ladybird wandering about on top of a post! Considering it was rather cool (5c) it was the last thing we expected to see!

Something else that was a treat to see was a field full of Lapwing .... lovely to see so many ..... these were only some of them :-)
 
Not a good photo as they were on the far side of the field & the light was poor but I just had to blip them :-)
