Trip to town

I dropped presents off at my Mum's and brother's then parked up close to town and had a mooch in a few shops.
It was pretty quiet everywhere which surprised me on Christmas Eve and with a market on in Church Square as well. Even Aldi was nearly empty.
I spotted this on my way back to my car. What a waste! There were bags of books, soaked through from the rain. At the other side of the container and on top of it were loose piles of books and DVDs - most ruined. I presume the recycling container is full but why would you leave books open to the elements?If you were going to waste them then at least put them in your paper recycling! 
I hate waste.
