Wadebridge

We left our hotel and continued our drive south, driving through some pretty unremarkable scenery, and very uninspiring weather. We then joined the M5, and continued on our way.

The rain had stopped, so we stopped off in Okehampton for a break, and to find some lunch. The sun was making an appearance, so we had a walk around a park, thenlooked for a cafe, but eventually bought sandwiches and a few bits and pieces from Waitrose, and went back and had a picnic in the park, with the sun beating down. It was lovely, but we couldn’t sit for long.

We continued on our way, and made good time to our destination which was Wadebridge. We checked into our hotel, then wandered into the town for a look around. We walked by the River Camel in the late afternoon sunshine and watched the egrets.

We made our way back into town and looked for somewhere to go for tea. We ended up in a fish and chip restaurant. The fish and chips was fabulous, washed down with a bottle of wine. We then had to walk back up a long hill to our hotel. We FaceTimed BB, and we’re reassured that he is surviving!!

I don’t normally blip food, but I can’t get the egret pictures to download, so here us my fabulous fish and chips!!
