Not today's blip, but wanted to share this with you Paul.

This is Richard with his home-made lathe , and his impressive wood crafting business 'Flying Shavings'. He's set his wood turning empire up in Strid Wood at Bolton Abbey, a beautiful area on the banks of the River Wharfe, where the river forces it's way through the rocks. It's really dangerous and many people have slipped and lost their lives there over the years. Mesmerising though. My Mum & Nana used to walk there when they lived in Lancashire during and after the war.

Anyhoo, I digress. I bought an Ash plant-dibber for my Mum from Richard, and his lovely wife gave me a wooden elf that she'd made :-). Going to keep it as a lucky charm, together with my Cornish Piskie. Hope they don't fight!
