My First Puffin Sighting
A dream realised today, I saw a puffin for the first time ever.
We were given a tip off by a friend, that there were still a few birds at Fowlsheugh, at the RSPB reserve south of Stonehaven. As we were travelling north today to celebrate my niece's birthday, we took a detour and found the reserve.
A long walk on the cliff path, to a hide, and beyond that there is a cave. We saw six puffins coming in and out. I've had to crop this down a lot, and it's the best of about 60 shots. I know it's not a very good image, but it's special for me.
