Industrial heritage
Our Tuesday walking group (like the Thursday Murder Club but different!) today explored the Rocks Riverside Park in the Brisbane suburb of Seventeen Mile Rocks. A cement manufacturing company operated here from the 1930s to the 1960s. Raw materials came up the Brisbane River and were taken further on overhead conveyor belts. It's now an attractive riverside park, with featured remnants of its industrial past.
