2 For The Price Of One!

We had an afternoon out in North Berwick today, I took the dogs for a walk on the beach while the ladies shopped. It was then a long journey home as we criss-crossed across Edinburgh picking up some preordered packages.

We were home just in time for Mrs C and I to head back into town for the rerun of King Creosote's gig in the Usher Hall. Last time PA problems put an end to that gig, they went off and completed their tour then returned for this rerun, the PA was working perfectly.

In the last blip I referenced my favourite song Blue Marbled Elm Trees, which really hits home with me, singing about his own funeral with the lyrics...

No, I shan't complain
I had the best time laughing with my girls...

This was the 2nd song he sang and at that point I noticed stage left, in the wings 2 girls jumping and dancing to the song, and they would have been his girls and he was singing about them... oh wow... that got me... they are in the photo above.

Anyway, the show went without any hitches, sounded great, the band and the audience firstly relieved and then just enjoying themselves... fab gig.
