Mum

A bright chilly start to the day. Did the first laundry load, got that on the line, second load in, nipped up the allotment with the kitchen veg waste, then up to town to fetch the paper. Home second load on the line. Washed the kitchen floor.
Down to CK. Shower for Mum, & me. The water comes through cold everytime I go to use the shower hose. "I wonder if I can leave it on?" shower head flipped around and got me.. Soaked!. Mum was laughing. Put Mum's washing machine going. Gave Mum her breakfast, walked Indie. It turned really mild, sun was shining but no breeze. Back again, washing machine cycle still not ended. Nearly two hours for a load is bonkers, but not worth replacing I suppose.
One of the Careright managers paid us a visit with a lovely Xmas hamper & card for Mum. We pay for Mum's carer I know but a generous gesture nevertheless. I needed to smuggle most of it into a bag to bring home as there is nowhere to hide it there.
"We" made a couple of goodie boxes for the great grandchildren, then filled them. A few more bits to add. I know, it's cutting it a bit fine. I've message Ashley for big pressie suggestions for Eliza. Fingers crossed she replies.
Made Mum's lunch then drove out to G&J's with their card & pressies. Sat & chatted for half an hour before heading home.
