Busy, busy
At least the wind has died down though it's still wet and gloomy here. But the place is clogged up to the eyeballs with last minute shoppers - maybe Santa is in town! I stupidly decided to pop down to the town to buy some sticky glazing strips to stop our doors rattling - just an excuse to get out of the house! - and the usual ten minute drive, or less, turned into almost half an hour!
Screwfix didn't have what I wanted in stock, so I had to order it. I could have done that on the phone!
As I started for home I noticed the 'Lord of the Isles' leaving the pier, so I drove along the Esplanade to catch her before she disappeared into the gloom. I wasn't the only photographer on the job, I notice!
I was slightly worried on listening to the local news that one of the ferries for Mull tomorrow morning was cancelled. We've booked a house for a few days over there and it would be a disaster if we couldn't get there and meet our daughter. Apparently the 'Lord of the Isles' is covering for the 'Isle of Mull' which is covering for another broken down ferry, and tomorrow is being taken off the Mull run for a trip to Lochboisdale. It's the 7.20am sailing which is cancelled and we're going on the 12 noon, so fingers crossed we'll make it!
