Winter Solstice

A visit to Castlerigg Stone circle on the day of the winter solstice seemed appropriate for todays Blip. (Though not at sunrise - which didn't really happen anyway - when it would have been packed). Even when I went there were many camper vans parked in the adjacent layby, and people has been gathering wood which they had laid in the middle of the circle, presumably with the intention of lighting it. Fortunately it was raining and the wood probably (hopefully) wouldn't light. I do get annoyed when people disrespect areas of the park.+
