Hallelujah!
A wonderful day..
Southwell Minster
I was tremendously impressed with this morning's sermon, which directly criticised the Church of England establishment for putting itself before the congregation especially the the poor molested children.
A few proper hugs, some young children running around during the service and four Christmas trees too!
Village Church
My first village service attendance for well over a year. A carol service organised and led by the amazing 80+ year old villager Barbera. Our small church was full with the West Trent villages choir and villagers. I sat on the naughty bench with two spirited older women villagers!
The Minster organ scholar played a few of the pieces in addition to our regular villager organist. The latter's tempo isn't always consistent, so it made me chuckle the congregation and the more complicated choir singing all trying to keep in synch.
A few simple warm heartfelt words at the service and mulled wine and more proper hugs too!
