Missed opprtunities? Playing catch-up!

Today was a very mixed day weather-wise here, sun & blues sky one minute and then lashing rain and thunder the next. As a result I didn't get out to get a photo today, other than an attempt at getting one of rain splashes on the ground or in the birdbath, neither of which really worked.

Then as we finished watching one programme (while eating the last of our fish and chips !) we heard the announcement that 'Only Connect' was just about to start on BBC 4. Over the past couple of years we had really enjoyed this quiz show, and especially Victoria Coren's dry wit. We were horrified to find that tonight was episode 12 out of 13! How had we managed to miss out on episodes 1-11?

Oh the joy of BBC i-Player and catch up TV - we can watch the ones we missed, provided we do so in the next 14 days. So, quick photo of the paused TV screen and thus two problems solved in one go, what to blip and the short half hour brain stimulation that is just right for winding down from everything else that goes on in the day.

Missed? Yes, but also reprieved, and given a second chance.
