Dippy has a friend:) Meet Shep the sheepdog.

Up with the lark and off into the soggy meadows.
The streams needed my attention with support crew in the form of Dippy dog.
Leaves and branches had formed little dams which needed clearing. We then sheltered in the woods, Dippy covered several miles in the scent of deer, fox, badger and pheasant.
I was able to divert some of the springs from running over the pathway and hopefully let them dry out.
Met Vivienne in our way back, she could hardly stand up in the wind and hailstorms which were sweeping through the country it certainly made for exhilarating experiences.
Back to clean up the debris and improve the ditches I had dug around Amadeus to help channel the surface water and allow some form of mud free entrance to home. A quick car wash before helping my neighbours with their water tank filling and a general recce of the services here.
Breakfast and out for bread and milk plus some moisturiser for the Christmas cake.
I don’t normally shop in the sabbath but tomorrow and the day after will be gridlocked no doubt.
The rest of the day was spent making more mince pies, I still don’t understand where they keep disappearing to:))
The rest of the evening was spent whittling down a Hazel stick and reading about the real reason why we are celebrating on the 25th of December.
Do most of the world really know?
Zzzzzz
