Tom Turkeys Posse

On the way home from an early morning errand I encountered a group of six "tom" turkeys by the side of the road in downtown Eugene.
I pulled over to the curb for a photo through the windshield then slowly rolled up to the group for a shot out the passenger side window.
Using my little car as a rolling bird blind worked very well, but I suspect the technique will be frowned upon by the Audubon Society.
I learned today a group of adult male turkeys, or toms, is called a posse.
In the wild, toms often form separate flocks from females.
Gosh, I love Eugene!
