Can You Tell We Had A Full Morning At FBC?

This morning as we gathered at FBC to join our hearts and voices in praise and worship to God, we were blessed with a visit from a young woman who grew up in our church and is now a missionary in the East African country of Uganda.  She and her husband and family came to give our church our annual update on the children's home she runs called Kirabo Ministries.  Their mission is to help children and families in crisis and to show  the love of Jesus to everyone they help.  She gave a presentation to all the adult grow groups at one time.  Our worship service started with a congregational Christmas song followed by a welcome from Pastor Wes.  The choir, orchestra and all our talented accompanists sang one of the songs from last week's Christmas Concert, "Come And Worship" as our final special music for 2024, because we have the next week off from singing in the loft.  After the choir special, the congregation joined us in singing some familiar Christmas carols before Pastor Wes focused our attention on verses from Isaiah 49 and 50, which I have put into a collage in the extras, because I couldn't fit everything into one collage today.  Verse 14 starts out with Israel complaining that God has forgotten them and God's reply begins in the next few verses. Then we begin to hear from the Obedient Servant(Jesus) who fulfilled all the requirements to pay our sin debt and demonstrating God's faithfulness and His great love for us.  Pastor Wes explains it all in detail in the Live-stream which I encourage you to watch.  Merry Christmas to all my friends and family and all who read this!!
