High as a kite

At least I think it was a red kite. We do have them in and around Chobham but it was gone  almost as quickly as it appeared, chasing off another bird, so I didn't get a full look at it. Plus the light was fading. So, i didn't get the chance to zoom in but it is there if you look closely. The skyscape had been quite dramatic, providing an appropriate backdrop to the skeletal winter branches of the trees as I took an afternoon walk.
