Hose pipe ban

Usually after 3 straight days of sunshine we are informed the resevoires are drying up and that there will be a hose pipe ban.

We don't have one yet but woe betide anyone who tells me there is a hose pipe ban when they can leave this water leak for 3 weeks.

The same thing happened last year just outside my house. This leak is 3 doors down.

Last year one man came and put an arrow on the road to mark the leak.

Another two came to put up the traffic lights. 3 to deliver the barriers then we had the men who dug the whole. Men to mend the leak. Men to fill in the whole. Men to remove the barriers. Men to remove the traffic lights. And men to check the work is complete. 3-4 weeks for a half hour job.

So you can stick a hose pipe ban where the sun don't shine!
