Ledbury
Despite the forecast for rain in the morning I took the bike for a ride to Ledbury, Herefordshire, to visit my Aunt Grace. She is now in a nursing home and seems very settled. She had a lot of nice things to say about the staff, the food and the other residents. She has made a friend of one man whom, she found out, is from Tarrington village also.
The rain did not transpire but the roads were wet from previous days and nights of rain, the River Severn was very swollen at Maismore but hadn't broken the banks since the last time, a couple of weeks ago. It was also cold this morning but I had my heated gloves and my bike gear is warm, and waterproof.
It was a good ride there but on the way back the strong, low, sun made visibility difficult so I adjusted my speed at times to ensure I didn't misjudge the road and bends.
The low sun also made this photograph difficult as I couldn't see what I was taking at all. In the end it's not too bad. The building is the old market house (1617) Ledbury Market House | Ledbury town council
