Turquoise Ace
Tim called me to look at this big old boat out of the window, as it was lit up in a brief bit of sunshine. What a big turquoise beast!
Up early again today, for Lee and Will to come and finish the bathroom. Handy, as I had to be at the docs for 8:30am, for my physio appointment. Lovely physiotherapist (they're all so lovely there!), who diagnosed the problem with my hip as GTPS (greater trochanteric pain syndrome) - basically, a tendon issue. Likely brought on by having been so inactive with Covid fatigue, and then starting to do more again. Glad to have it diagnosed and have some exercises suggested, as it turned out some of the exercises I'd been doing were likely to do more harm than good. Bit of a painful walk back up the hill to home, and a painful afternoon, too - but it's weird how it comes and (then sometimes quite suddenly) goes.
Lee and Will finished work on the bathroom late afternoon. They've done such a good job! We're really happy with it. Waiting until we've given it a good clean to share a photo of the finished product though. Unfortunately, while we were in there after they'd left, admiring it all, I noticed a tiny pool of water under the radiator, and we discovered it had a very tiny leak. Cue a call to Lee, who'd made it nearly all the way back to Barnstaple - but he turned straight round and came back to fix it. Not a simple fix either - he had to take the radiator back off to sort it. All done by dinner time though.
