Lucy's fairy
The main mission of the day was to transport Mummy hazelh to Gretna services and into the care of my not-so-little sister for Christmas. The journey started well, but deteriorated when we hit a hairy section of the M74, busy with cars and lorries battling through horizontal sleet in the dark.
Just after 5:30pm, with all the cargo safely moved from one car to the other, we turned our car northwards again and retraced our route as far as Biggar (and back through the sleet storm again). At the end of our journey Bella, David and Rosie gave us a huge welcome as their 'overture' Christmas guests. We're staying here for just one night, ahead of the arrival of Bella's sister Lucy, her partner, and sons on Monday. We have chatted non-stop since our arrival, updating Bella and David on all our goings-on since our last visit here on a hot weekend in July.
Lucy made the wonderful fairy that tops Bella and David's Christmas tree.
Exercise today: walking (11,251 steps).
