A late afternoon walk
Today was blustery but we had a wonderful sunrise and a golden sunset - in between that it was cold today.
I noticed that our hellebores are in bud, as is our star magnolia tree which seems crazy at this time of year. Gavin and I went into the village to get some groceries and I noticed some pink blossoms on a tree in the village - the weather patterns are upsetting the natural plant cycles.
It was rather busy in the supermarket but I got what I needed - I also bumped into a teacher who taught the boys when they were about 8 years old!
We went out to our local pub for Sunday lunch. Their lunches are excellent, it's more posh pub food and the food never disappoints. In the extras you can see the decorations around their doorway, and then also the Christmas cocktails we had - something with chilli tequila in it.
After lunch we took Xena for another walk in the woods, it was already low light and we saw the sun setting from the woods. We met three other Vizslas on our walk, they are popular here.
Tommy and Inca are still on Heron Island on the Great Barrier Reef diving with sharks and turtles. I will feel better when they move on from there away from all those sharks!
Now the countdown to Christmas, we are just waiting for Adam and Anna to arrive tomorrow evening. It will be Anna's first British Christmas!
