Tree fellers

Lots of thunder and heavy rain again today...clearing later.

In between showers I nipped out to Tiso to stock up on essentials for No 1's Silver expedition for her duke of Edinburgh Award this weekend....I hope it dries up!

I picked up some food packets. Space age technology ! Just add burn* water - wee beasties in the water are added protein I suspect.

Back home this evening to a packed house of teenagers showing off their tans.

Here's the remains of our Silver Birch. It was a lovely tree, but had grown far too big. We had it topped about 6 years ago and it was starting to rot. sad to see it go, but we have 3 apple trees that should flourish now with the extra light.
