Busy Day!
Did the last 90 minutes of the Tokyo Teams QAE work and that’s Year 3 finished successfully and on time now. Years 1 and 2 will be in Jan and February and spread over 6 weeks. It’s been quite fun this year having my friend Claire in Barcelona involved too and then because we were both identified as ‘profilic and accurate’ markers, we also got the extra work - QAE for me and Claire chose to mark a new Year 3 test.
Walked up to the Wed food market and topped upon our fruit etc. Then a bit of a different afternoon as we headed into the centre to pay our condominium charges for the next year. However, the system has changed and the office where we now need to pay it is a 5 min walk from our flat! We tried to get them to accept our payment there, but no go! After a few phone calls to the other office, we left with the instruction to go to the Copacabana office after 4pm tomorrow. It’ll be easier but we’ve always quite liked the ritual of a taxi to the centre and then lunch down there. We had to skip the lunch opportunity today as we were carrying cash!
Back to the flat and then off to Tok Stok (pronounced Tocky Stocky) to research a new chair. We’ve decided to replace our table and stools (see extra) with a 2nd chair. The table and stools are off to a good home and have served us well for 14 years. After much walking around, up and down, trying different ones, measuring (size is super important in a small studio!), we found one we liked and also bought a new lamp. We’ll pick them up tomorrow as it’ll be a taxi job and we were tired and hungry by this stage!
Walked along Copacabana from Tok Stok, stopping at Tropic and Hero’s for dinner. Walked home, tired but satisfied with our day.
