Jug
This is one of the little jugs I made at pottery and brought home last weekend. I’m so pleased with the shape, the handle, the colour of the glaze and the way it breaks over the rim, and the way it pours - no drips! I wonder if I could make some more?
Quick visit to the supermarket for things for the weekend (we have a big shop coming on Monday for the Christmas food), and then out with a friend for coffee. We went to the local garden centre with cafe with a covered outdoor space - our main lockdown haunt when we could go out places. They’ve improved the space since then and the sides are now enclosed more to keep the wind out. You still need the blankets they provide but it was warm enough to sit and chat for a couple of hours.
After lunch I got all the wrapping done, one thing ticked off the list, and then I walked down to the local petrol station to return a jumper I’d bought that wasn’t suitable. The little lockers make returns so easy these days.
At 6, I was off to a neighbours for their Christmas get-together - they start early as some of the families in our road have young kids. I found the socialising a bit easier this year, but I was home again by about 8.30, exhausted by it!
