Our Street in Copacabana

Up inside a local commercial centre, we spotted this view of our street.  We are the fifth facade on the right, counting from the front...a yellowish strip of facade!   We are two blocks from the beach (behind the camera) and can normally see Cristo top left at the end of the street on top of Corcovada, but I am too zoomed in!  The weekly food market is at the end of a continuation of our street going aways from the lens, in a square where the trees stop.

We love the canopy of rain forest trees, full of singing birds and the occasional monkey!

This was the day we went to the Copacabana Palace to select our Christmas Day table followed by the abortive trip to Bar Lagoa . . . floods.
