Saved for next year

Because of the postal strike, I'm not mailing cards this Christmas. The posties were ordered back to work last Tuesday, but there's a huge backlog of mail to be delivered. I got a message from our friend in Australia letting us know that the card she had mailed to us on Dec. 3 was returned to her with a note attached: "Due to an ongoing national strike action by employees of Canada Post, Australia post has been advised we are temporarily unable to send mail to Canada...."  It also says that she is eligible for postage refund!
So Jacquie Lawson cards it is for friends this year. 
I had a good walk this morning, light rain for part of it. Managed to avoid the downpours. I walked up Mountain Road because I haven't walked there for quite a long time. Very quiet and peaceful. Bill came down for a visit.
